eOrigen.com secures multi-media marketing project for major elearning project for the NHS
This year the North West Strategic Health Authority in collaboration with The North West Non-Medical Prescribing Education Group and eOrigen.com were awarded the IVCA Gold Award for the government-sponsored Non-Medical Prescribing elearning Project.
The project is a high-profile blended learning programme aimed at preparing qualified non-medical healthcare professionals to practise as extended formulary and/or supplementary prescribers. Designed to meet the standards and competencies set down by the Department of Health, the project required a total multimedia content solution that included Instructional Design, a series of Video scenarios, a suite of elearning materials, various workbook assignments as well as a dedicated information website and post launch training.
The multimedia marketing programme which includes the production of print, web site development and a DVD is designed to increase awareness and increase the number of practitioners taking the course. The target audience will be made up of nurses, midwives, health visitors, and pharmacists, together with additional professional groups such as physiotherapists, podiatrists and radiographers.
This important project headed by Sam Sherrington, Greater Manchester Non-Medical Prescribing Project Manager forms a key element in the SHA's Non Medical Prescribing education strategy, and ultimately the government's drive to improve the public's access to medicines.
